The very first steps of your SAM journey should be coming to terms with what you currently have in the way of entitlement/rights for any given software manufacturer.  One of the more tricky purchasing reports to tackle is the Microsoft Licensing Statement (MLS).  Although these come directly from Microsoft, there are some caveats and checks that must be performed.  And with the addition of the MPSA tab, there came another world of confusion when interpreting this document.
